Blogger Pantheon

This is like Coke promoting Pepsi and praising it for the awesome taste! Do you see the similarity, when me, a budding blogger (if there could be a budding stage in a role that needs no formal initiation except for a net connection and plently of free time) praises the works of his fellow bloggers? You don't see anything similar in there? Well, I suppose you are right. This blog is more of a list of my favorite bloggers and their blogs, with the disclaimer that there would be many more whose works I am yet to read. Nevertheless, there is always a start, and here is the list of all those extremely witty and very well informed people who can translate their thoughts with ample dose of sarcasm or humor, to turn those into something called Blogs, the newest form of art born out of our love (and may I say hatred as well?) for wholesome all-encompassing pop culture.

The list should, must and definitely will start with my favorite blogger Arnab aka Greatbong . Read his takes on the mediocrity (that's even an overstatement) that rules all over Indian Television and Bollywood. His love and respect for Prabhuji is phenomenal, I was touched by it as I belonged to that bunch of Indian people who grew up on a staple diet of Mithunda movies: watching on first-day-first-show week-after-week the miracles of the Supreme God of Hindi Filmdom.

Anil Purohit 's Blogs (Windy Skies) are on Travel and Photography, and I found them mindblowing. He covers the Konkan region with authenticity and natural flavor, and I could feel like being there while going through his blogs.

Jai Arjun Singh aka Jabberwock , a journalist from New Delhi, writes about issues ranging from anything to well, anything. Personally I don't share his views about Hindi Films entirely, but that's the fun in Bloggerworld, you can enjoy while you don't agree.

Falstaff writes with more literary flavor, and some of the pieces really touch the readers' heart. Try it if you are looking for serious stuff, though by that I don't mean there is no humor in this Blog.

Rashmi Bansal 's Blogs are called Youth Curry, and it has some really interesting and funny entries: like the one on Online matrimony.

Amit Varma calls his Blogsite as India Uncut. Variety of topics covered including politics, movies and daily events, and his style of writing is catchy and funny.

Turbanhead is a group of six people who are taking their shots at different things and showing off their diverse views. Chances are that you might not dislike them entirely.

Patrix is from Bombay and now lives in Texas. His blogs are on varied topics, and unlike many of our fellowmen, he has the guts to be a little sentimental sometimes , taking his humor shield off. Visit his colophon page for some real good links on some great photography (look for "Header Images").

Then there is Confused who is caustic but you will still enjoy the writing. Or may be that's the reason you will enjoy his writing. The best part of his writing reminds me of my Grandma. Don't get me wrong guys, by no means he loves me as much as she used to do. But like my granny who used to read only the news items regarding the kidnaps, dowry incidents and similar stuff (because of her lack of knowledge or interest in Politics/Sports/Movies), confused does have a special talent to talk about similar things. Check this , and this .
